Joining Dietrich & Kenyon in 2022, Associate Attorney Belande J. Pettigrew focuses her practice primarily on pre-confirmation bankruptcy issues and debt recovery.

Before joining Dietrich & Kenyon, Belande worked as the law clerk for the Honorable Richard Garcia and the Honorable Shaunna Dunnings at the 30th Judicial Circuit Court in Ingham County. Prior to that, Belande worked at Bank of America for fourteen years in various roles. While there, Belande enjoyed assisting and educating consumers about their assets and liabilities. Belande joined Dietrich & Kenyon to continue doing what she loved by helping consumers file for bankruptcy to save their assets and resolve their debt issues.

Belande is a 2015 graduate of WMU-Cooley Law School in Lansing. Belande graduated as an honor scholarship recipient, winner of the Sol Siegel award, and the recipient of the certificate of merit for Contracts. Belande received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina in 2004 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Sociology.

Belande is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. She has practiced law in Michigan since 2020 and has practiced bankruptcy since 2022. Belande is admitted to practice before the Eastern and Western Federal Districts of Michigan.

Belande resides in Grand Ledge with her family. She enjoys traveling with her family, reading, and watching all types of sports.
