Anthony J. Harrington

Anthony (“AJ”) J. Harrington is the newest Associate Attorney at Dietrich & Kenyon, PLLC, where he focuses his practice on Chapter 13 bankruptcy. AJ is dedicated to fiercely advocating for his clients by turning overwhelming legal hurdles into a clear path forward. He is dedicated to leading clients through complex legal issues and will continue guiding clients through the bankruptcy process with compassion, practical advice, and a clear understanding of the legal options available to achieve a clean financial slate.

Before joining Dietrich and Kenyon in 2026, AJ served as a Family Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Gadola in the 7^th Circuit of Genesee County and the Eaton County Public Defender’s Office. His experience in both family law and criminal law provides a deep understanding of multiple legal fields and an enduring demeanor when handling any legal crisis and high-risk asset protections.

Proudly raised in the small town of Marshall, Michigan, he grew up in a close-knit community that shaped his dedication to hard work and service. Before embarking on his legal career, AJ spent several years in various roles in the insurance and financial services industries. His knowledge of Michigan property and automobile law, along with mortgage company’s policies and procedures, allows him to craft creative and sensible solutions for our clients.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Michigan State University. AJ graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law school, where he received the Book Award in Property, Personal and Professional Responsibility and Capital Punishment and Death Penalty.

AJ is a member of the State Bar of Indiana and is admitted to practice before the Indiana Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Wester and Eastern Districts of Michigan. He is actively completing the final steps for admission to the State Bar of Michigan.

AJ lives in East Lansing with his wife and 2 large dogs. Outside of the office, he enjoys walking his dogs, traveling the world with his wife and attending any Michigan State athletic event.
