Aaron J. Kenyon

Attorney Aaron J. Kenyon is the founding member and owner of Dietrich & Kenyon, PLLC. Aaron focuses his practice on helping individuals and families resolve serious debt and tax problems, including Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Chapter 13 bankruptcy, and tax resolution matters. His approach is practical, strategic, and centered on helping clients understand their options and move toward a financial fresh start.

Before founding Dietrich & Kenyon with Robert Dietrich in 2019, Aaron developed a unique combination of legal, financial, and business experience that continues to shape the firm’s practice today. Over more than 22 years as an attorney, Aaron has held executive-level roles with several multimillion-dollar businesses, where he focused on resolving complex legal and financial issues. His experience includes serving in a Chief Financial Officer role for a large organization during a complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy. That background gives Aaron a practical understanding of financial distress from both the legal and business sides.

In 2018, Aaron shifted his practice to focus exclusively on helping consumer clients resolve debt and tax issues. Since then, he has dedicated his work to guiding clients through bankruptcy, tax debt resolution, creditor problems, and the legal and emotional challenges that often come with financial hardship.

Aaron is active in the legal community and serves on the Steering Committee of the Federal Court Association for the Western District of Michigan and the Board of Directors for the Debtor’s Bar of Western Michigan. He regularly speaks at conferences on bankruptcy and legal issues and has served as Adjunct Faculty for Northwood University’s College of Business Administration since 2010.

Aaron lives in East Lansing with his family. He has competed as a member of Team USA Duathlon in Olympic-distance duathlon events in the United States and internationally. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys cycling, running, spending time with his family, and traveling.

Aaron graduated magna cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing in 2004, where he received the Book Award for excellence in Bankruptcy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting, from Central Michigan University in 2000.
